AWDS joined SCWO in celebrating International Womens’ Day at the annual Gala Dinner. It was themed Momentum, after the global IWD theme: Gender Agenda – Gaining Momentum.

The celebratory event was graced by Mrs Mary Tan, Patron of SCWO, as well as Ms Grace Fu, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Madam Halimah Yacob, Speaker of Parliament, Mr Chan Chun Sing, Acting Minister for Social and Family Development and Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Defence.

The evening’s sensational entertainment included an excerpt of Goh Choo San’s signature ballet Momentum by The Singapore Dance Theatre, and a performance by our very own ‘Mad Chinaman’, Dick Lee.

It was a wonderful opportunity for our members to meet the other member organizations of SCWO.
