Dr Phoon Yishan graduated from National University of Singapore in 2003 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She started out her medical career specialising in microsurgery and plastics. She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh since 2007 and was also awarded Master of Medicine in Orthopaedics Surgery in 2008.

Both yoga and aesthetic medicine are art forms requiring concentration and discipline, homing her mental clarity to better perform intricate procedures like threadlifts and facial fillers.
She also believes in a good work life balance. A hands-on mum to a toddler and a puppy, as well as 7 god-kids, she spends as much time as she can outside of work with the family.
